What is a vajacial?
A "vajacial" is a term used to describe a facial treatment specifically for the bikini area. It typically includes a combination of exfoliation, steaming, and moisturizing to improve the appearance and health of the skin in that area. It is also sometimes called "vajacial" or "vulvacial." It is a completely topical non-invasive procedure – clients typically describe the v-facial as a rejuvenating and calming experience! Vajacials are recommended to all woman who wax or shave their bikini area.
Why would you need or want a vajacial?
To improve the appearance of the vulva and vagina area, such as reducing dark pigmentation or lightening the skin.
To improve the overall health of the skin in that area, such as by reducing inflammation or preventing ingrown hairs.
To deeply hydrate the skin for lasting softness, smoothness and moisturized skin.
To enhance self-confidence and body image.
What happens during a vajacial?
The Process Overview
The “vajacial” starts off with a full Brazilian wax. A double cleanse of the skin followed by steam and exfoliation. After steaming and exfoliating, we then extract the ingrown hairs, and blackheads, and pimples on the vulva. Based on the analysis, a hydro jelly mask is applied to the area to assist with problems such as hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and more.
Double Cleanse: The area is cleaned using a mild, fragrance-free cleanser to remove any dirt or sweat.
Exfoliate: A gentle exfoliating scrub or peel is applied to the area to remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover.
Steam: A warm steaming is done to open up pores and allow for better penetration of products.
Extract: Any ingrown hairs or impurities are extracted using a sterilized tool.
Mask: A hydrating or brightening mask is applied to the area to nourish and soothe the skin.
Moisturize: A moisturizer is applied to the area to hydrate and protect the skin.
It is important to note that the specific steps and products used may vary depending on the individual's skin type and concerns.
When should you get a vajacial?
Getting a v-facial is most effective immediately following a bikini sugaring or Brazilian when the hair is removed, newly exfoliated, and the pores are open. This improves the effectiveness of the vajacial since all the products can penetrate deeper into the skin for better results. However, in general, a vajacial can be done at any time, and it's recommended to be done in regular intervals. Some people might choose to get a vajacial before a special event, such as a wedding, or as a way to maintain the appearance and health of the vulva and vagina area.
